Laboratory history
- As early as 1956, INRA carried out research on the animal blood groups and milk proteins. A service activity for breeders and breeding organizations evolved rapidly from this research.
- At the end of the 70s, the laboratory for blood group analysis was created. The activities of this laboratory started to grow continuously.
- In 1994, LABOGENA became an Economic Interest Grouping (EIG).
- In December 2013, LABOGENA became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Evolution (French leader in genetics, animal reproduction and monitoring).
During these 60 years of activity, LABOGENA demonstrated its ability to rapidly develop high-quality tests, so that all breeding actors can benefit from the research advances. Moreover, LABOGENA invested in the latest generation of robot in order to guarantee optimal traceability and analytical capacity.
